Women's Hour Programme!

Hello ALL!

Well, I'm appearing on Women's Hour tommorrow!

If you go to this link here, you can find out more about the programme which starts at 10am UK time - the focus is on Women who have decided not to have children!

http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00t3tbm

I am very excited as you can imagine!

Hopefully, it will raise the important issue to the surface - allowing more women to feel that they are able to make the choice to have a child or not from a positive position - as opposed to feeling like they have no choice.

If anyone has come here from the programme, I hope you find the posts useful and you might like to go to my coaching website at http://www.ticktockcoaching.co.uk to find out more about me and how I work.

It's one of life's little ironies that most people only discover they can't have children once they've decided they want one.

I never wanted kids and at 45 am still happy with that decision, but who knows if I could have had them anyway. My decision may have saved me years of heartache.

Hi Beth, I am an academic at Keele University and I am planning to do some research on attitudes towards childlessness starting in Autumn 2010. If you or any of the women you come into contact with might be interested in taking part, please drop me an email at childlessnessproject@psy.keele.ac.uk. Best wishes Sue (Dr Sue Sherman)
